Why does coaching take so long?

Short answer: because your brain is wired one way, and in order to change that wiring, we need to create new connections and grow them.

This means choosing new habits and attitudes, and intentionally substituting them for old ones. Anyone who’s ever succeeded in losing weight and keeping it off knows what this is like.  Unlike resurfacing internal change takes consistent effort over time.
